The annual CPCU Chapter Leader Conference was held April 3-5, 2008 in Orlando Florida. Kristi Batchelder attended and was asked to represent the CA Golden Empire Chapter as a panelist for the Chapter Management Basics seminar. Kristi, along with representatives from other chapters, participated in a discussion and was able to share best practices on Circle of Excellence planning, Committees, Financial Management and Working with your Governor.
The conference was a great opportunity to meet and network with fellow CPCU's from around the country and learn about the current state and future of our industry.

Greetings CPCU's and CPCU Students~
You are invited to attend the CPCU Golden Empire Chapter April meeting. Please join us for lunch, a presentation from Steve Rodriguez of the local chapter of the American Red Cross, and an overview of the recent CPCU Leadership Conference. All committee chairs will have an opportunity to provide an update as well.
Time: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Location: State Farm- 900 Old River Rd- Dining Room B

Please RSVP to Kristi Batchelder by Monday April 14.
Please consider bringing a donation for the local American Red Cross. They are in need of the following items: Blankets, Towels, Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, Canned Food, or Snack Items.
If you did not have a chance to bring a Teddy Bear to last month's Teddy Bear Drive, it's not too late! You may bring your Teddy Bear or monetary donation to this month's meeting.
Please mark you calendars for two upcoming events: Wednesday May 14, 2008- I Day (additional information below) and our June meeting/Officer Installation and Scholarship presentation has been moved from our regular third Thursday to Monday June 9 (additional details to follow).

Bring bears and other stuffed animals for the Teddy Bear Patrol. All bears and animals will be presented this spring.
